Lately I've been thinkin' 'bout a terrible troublin' fact
Everytime a Bush goes to the White House hard times come back
I got the blues, those two Bush blues

Here's a story 'bout two Bushes, a father and a son
Who made a lot of friends with money and went off to Washington
To Washington, to Washington

The daddy was an ambassador, then he ran the CIA
Before he moved into the White House and started takin' your jobs away
Hard times in Washington

They say two birds in a bush ain't good as one in the hand
Two Bushes in the White House have about destroyed this land
I got the blues, those two Bush blues

The son's got a ranch in Texas like he was a common man
But he was raised up in Washington with a silver spoon in hand
In Washington, in Washington

In the election of 2000 we thought he'd lost to Gore
Til it came down to his brother's state and his daddy's Supreme Court
I got the blues, the two Bush Blues

He’s the good ol’ boys good buddy but, he's the millionaire's best friend
He's never been no soldier but he sure loves to pretend
I got the blues, them two Bush blues

He's wrapped himself in the flag, waves a Bible in his hand
But he spins those lies so well he makes Clinton look like an honest man
I got the blues, them two Bush blues

If you're wonderin' what he's gonna do to help the unemployed
It's tax cuts for the rich and send the poor folks off to war
It's hard times Hard times

Lately I've been thinkin' 'bout a terrible troublin' fact
Everytime a Bush goes to the White House hard times come back
I got the blues, those two Bush blues

They say two birds in a bush ain't good as one in the hand
Two Bushes in the White House have about destroyed this land
I got the blues, those two Bush blues
